A number of former Carolina Panthers players have been named preliminary nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026.
The first list of nominees for Canton's upcoming class was announced on Wednesday morning. 13 former Panthers were among the 128 names, and are as follows:
-
QB Jake Delhomme
-
RB/WR Eric Metcalf
-
WR Muhsin Muhammad
-
WR Steve Smith Sr.
-
TE Greg Olsen
-
TE Wesley Walls
-
OT Jordan Gross
-
C Ryan Kalil
-
LB Thomas Davis Sr.
-

The most likely name to be voted in is Kuechly, who will be an automatic finalist this year after finishing in the final seven of the voting process in 2025. Smith, a finalist in 2025, could also be under more serious consideration for enshrinement this summer.
Olsen and Davis are both first-time nominees.
