The Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in Tuesday night's first Western Conference play-in tournament game, 121-116 ( box score ). Both teams had finished the 2024-25 regular season with matching 48-34 records and tied for the No. 7 and No. 8 spots in the standings .
That play-in victory means that Golden State has earned the No. 7 spot in the eight-team West playoff field and a first-round series against the No. 2 seed, the Houston Rockets (52-30).
With the matchup now set, we now have dates and tipoff times for the majority of the games of that best-of-seven series. The schedule and tipoff times are as follows:

Houston went 2-3 against Golden State this season, though the Rockets won two of the final three meetings, including one at San Francisco's Chase Center earlier this month.
Game 1 will be the first NBA playoff game played inside Houston's Toyota Center since May 2019. Coincidentally, that was Game 6 of a second-round series loss to Steph Curry and Golden State.
Houston's roster has entirely turned over since, and the Rockets are currently led by a young core headlined by the likes of Amen Thompson , Alperen Sengun , and Jalen Green . On the other side, Curry, Draymond Green , and head coach Steve Kerr remain as leadership figures for the veteran-laden Warriors, who have won four NBA championships and six West titles over the past decade.
