The post Blue Jays get massive Jose Berrios injury update after World Series appeared first on ClutchPoints .
Recently, the Toronto Blue Jays suffered a devastating Game 7 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers at home in the World Series, falling just short of capturing their first championship in over three decades. Instead, despite having multiple opportunities to win the game in the final innings, the Blue Jays were forced to watch as the Dodgers celebrated their second straight championship on their home field.

Now, the team and their fans are left sifting through the rubble of what could have been, but the team did recently get a positive update on the injury front moving forward that should provide at least a bit of solace.
"Ross Atkins says Jose Berrios 'should have a completely normal off-season and be ready for spring training.' Berrios dealt with elbow inflammation at end of the season," reported Shi Davidi of Sportsnet on X, formerly TWitter.
Berrios was a key member of the Blue Jays' success throughout the season and it's certainly good to hear that he should be healthy moving forward.
Meanwhile, Blue Jays team president Mark Shapiro also expressed interest in returning on a new contract, and Davidi reported that the club also had interest in extending the relationship as well.

Still, none of that likely means a lot to Blue Jays fans at the present moment as they reel from what was one of the most painful losses in recent sports history. Toronto had ample opportunity to close this game out on several different occasions, not to mention the egg they laid in Game 6 of the series, which was also a closeout game, but instead walked away emptyhanded.
It will be very interesting to see how the Blue Jays respond next year, and if they come out more determined than ever on the heels of the loss, or instead let it affect them negatively.
