The Denver Broncos ' game against the Tennessee Titans had a strange weather delay.
Just after the teams went into the locker room at halftime, a message was shown on the scoreboard at Empower Field at Mile High that read, "Severe lighting activity is present in the area. The game has been delayed. Seek shelter in the concourse area." In an odd weather twist, the message was displayed despite Sunday being a sunny day in Denver.
A lightning storm is apparently headed for the stadium:
The delay apparently ended about the time that halftime was supposed to end:
There was some rain during and just after halftime, but the threat of a storm passed quickly.
The Broncos led the Titans 10-9 coming out of halftime. Fans at the team's 76,125-seat stadium did not have to wait long for the action to get back underway, as the would-be delay did not last beyond the halftime break.
