The Denver Broncos will not leave the NFL combine without doing their homework on the running backs in this year's class.
Among the RBs who met with the Broncos in Indianapolis was Oregon's Jordan James, according to The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler . James (5-10, 210 pounds) overlapped with Denver quarterback Bo Nix with the Ducks from 2022-2023.
James earned second-team All-Big Ten recognition after rushing 233 times for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns in 14 games last fall. Over the last two seasons, he totaled 2,367 yards from scrimmage and scored 27 touchdowns at Oregon. James also hauled in 41 receptions for 341 yards and one score from 2023-2024.
The 20-year-old running back is now projected to be a late-round pick in NFL mock drafts. The Broncos currently hold seven draft picks , including three selections in the sixth round. Running back is among Denver's biggest needs this offseason, so James could certainly be in play for the Broncos during April's draft.
