The Denver Broncos are taking a close look at running backs in the 2025 NFL draft.
The Broncos were among at least six teams that set up formal interviews with Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon at the NFL combine, according to The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler .
Gordon (6-1, 233 pounds) earned honorable mention All-Big 12 recognition last fall after rushing for 880 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. One year earlier, he won the Doak Walker Award -- given to college football's best running back -- after totaling 2,062 yards from scrimmage and rushing for 21 touchdowns in 2023.
NFL mock drafts now have Gordon projected as a fourth-round pick. Denver holds seven draft picks this year, including their own selection in the fourth round.
The Broncos "formally met with about 10 running backs as this year's draft is considered to be unusually deep at that position," according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis . Denver coach Sean Payton has specifically mentioned running back among the team's top needs, so it seems safe to assume the Broncos will address the position during April's draft.
