The Denver Broncos met with Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo at the NFL combine last week, the running back confirmed during his media availability.
Skattebo (5-9, 219 pounds) posted a vertical jump of 39.5 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, three inches at the combine. He did not run a 40-yard dash and NFL.com's Lance Zierlein has noted that Skattebo " lacks top-end speed ."
Skattebo is a physical runner and a capable receiver out of the backfield, hauling in 45 receptions for 605 yards and three touchdowns last fall. He also had a breakout season as a runner, totaling 293 carries for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2024.
The 23-year-old running back spent three years at Sacramento State before transferring to ASU. In two seasons with the Sun Devils, Skattebo rushed 457 times for 2,494 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding 69 receptions for 891 yards and four scores as a receiver.
NFL mock drafts have Skattebo projected as a third-round pick. The Broncos are set to pick at No. 85 overall in the third round this spring. The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Wisconsin from April 24-26.
