No surprise, but now official: Ja'Quan McMillianwill remain with the Denver Broncos .
With fewer than three accrued seasons and an expiring contract, McMillian became an exclusive rights free agent this spring. The Broncos placed a one-year ERFA tender on the cornerback on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
ERFAs have no leverage in negotiations. After receiving a tender, their only options are to sign it or sit out the season. McMillian cannot negotiate with other clubs.
The one-year ERFA tender is worth the league minimum. For a player with two years of experience like McMillian, the league minimum is $1,030,000 in 2025. That's an increase from the $915,000 he earned last season.
McMillian, 24, joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina following the 2022 NFL draft. He has spent the last two seasons as the team's slot cornerback.
In addition to McMillian, the Broncos also placed one-year ERFA tenders on pass rusher Dondrea Tillman , tight end Lucas Krull , defensive lineman Jordan Jackson and safety Devon Key . All five players are now set to return for spring workouts later this year.
