Dondrea Tillman 's impressive football journey continues.
The 26-year-old pass rusher received a one-year exclusive rights tender from the Denver Broncos on Tuesday that will keep him with the club for the 2025 season. The one-year deal is worth the league minimum ( $960,000 for a second-year player), an increase from his $741,667 salary last season.
Tillman played college football at the Division II level with the IUP Crimson Hawks and then spent two years out of football before playing The Spring League in 2021. His performance in TSL caught the attention of the Birmingham Stallions, who played in the USFL at the time.
After being picked by the Stallions in the USFL draft, Tillman went on to win three consecutive spring football titles with Birmingham (two in the USFL and one in the newly-formed UFL last year). Tillman was then signed by the Broncos .
In his first season in the NFL, Tillman served as a rotational pass rusher, totaling 23 tackles, seven quarterback hits and five sacks in 12 games. He figures to have a similar role in 2025.
In addition to Tillman, the Broncos also placed one-year ERFA tenders on cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian, tight end Lucas Krull , defensive lineman Jordan Jackson and safety Devon Key . All five players are now set to remain with the club.
