Broncos tenure:Key has played in 18 total games as a Bronco, including 16 in the 2024 regular season, plus Denver 's playoff game against the Buffalo Bills . Key started in two games in 2024, totaling 33 tackles (17 solo, 16 assisted, one tackle for loss), one sack. Key played 22 percent of defensive snaps and 54 percent of special teams snaps in 2024.
Chances to make the 53-man roster:On the bubble. Key has been playing as a defensive back and on special teams, which makes him a valuable player in the eyes of head coach Sean Payton. Key provides depth at safety if any injuries occur, but if he makes the active roster, his biggest contributions will come on special teams.
