Broncos Wire 's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at rookie punter Jeremy Crawshaw, No. 16.
Before the Broncos :Crawshaw, originally from Emu Plains, Australia (13,443 km from Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit in Englewood), played four years at the University of Florida . As a freshman, Crawshaw was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. A rugby-style punter, Crawshaw set a Gator record for punting average (48.9 yards per punt) in 2023, and he ranked fifth in the FBS in 2024 with 45.7 yards per punt.
Broncos tenure:Crawshaw was selected by the Broncos in the sixth round (216th overall) of the 2025 NFL draft. After being the only punter picked in this year's class, Crashaw will make his pro debut during preseason this summer.
Chances to make the 53-man roster:Essentially a lock. When Crawshaw was drafted, the Broncos had signed veteran punter Matt Haack to compete in a punting duel. But when the Broncos began signing undrafted free agents, Haack was cut by the Broncos, leaving Crawshaw as the lone punter on the roster. Former punter Josh Growden, aka "The Kicking Consultant" on YouTube, recently called Crawshaw " the most technically sound punter you'll ever see. " Denver needed a field-flipper, and they believe they got one in Jeremy Crawshaw.
