- Bryce Boettcher wins Ducks Wire Player of the Game vs. USC Trojans
The Oregon Ducks finally put it all together against a ranked team today. They had played two already this season, but major flaws were exposed in those games that made the Ducks look human.
However, they showed what they're truly made of against the USC Trojans in a big win for College Football Playoff implications. The defense struggled at times during the game, but one player who didn't was linebacker Bryce Boettcher , whose performance won him Ducks Wire Player of the Game honors for this week.

He played like a headless chicken on defense, totaling 13 tackles and even knocking down a pass during the game. Boettcher put together what was arguably his best performance of his career as his time with the Ducks winds down.
To put the cherry on top, he was inserted on offense during the first half and ran in a one-yard touchdown. It's hard for a defensive player to have a better game than Boettcher did today, which is why he won this week's MVP.
