The NFL's trade deadline passed at 2 p.m. MT on Tuesday and the Denver Broncos ... stood pat.
There were plenty of rumblings that suggested the Broncos could make a move for a wide receiver, with many fans on social media hoping for a splash trade for Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle . Instead, Denver general manager George Paton opted to keep the team's 2026 draft capital, and the team has just over $4.6 million in remaining salary cap space.
The Broncos were "in on a few players," according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis , but "the prices were deemed too high."
At 7-2, the Broncos have already demonstrated that they are contenders to win the AFC West and make a run in the playoffs this season. Denver coach Sean Payton is apparently content with the roster as it stands midway through the 2025 season.
