Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the performance of wide receiver Calvin Austin III in the team's win over the New York Jets and whether that means Omar Khan should relax his search for a second outside wide receiver.
Austin had a stellar game in the opener against the Jets, hauling in four of six targets for 70 yards and a touchdown. He also drew a crucial defensive pass interference call late in the game, and probably should have earned a second.
