The offensive tackle out of LSU addresses a big need for New England and will provide much-needed protection for Maye as he enters an important Year 2.
A three-year starter at LSU and consensus All-American in 2024, Campbell proved to be a reliable left tackle and has "renowned leadership skills and football character," per Bleacher Report's scouting department.
Maye was sacked 34 times in his rookie year under center for the Patriots . But with Campbell on the O-line, the quarterback should be better protected in 2025.
Campbell started in all 38 games during his time at LSU and allowed just five sacks in over 2,553 snaps.
