The latest chapter in the storied rivalry between the New York Giants (2-5) and Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) will take place Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field . These teams met two weeks ago at MetLife Stadium , and the Giants came away with a 34-17 victory.
The Eagles are looking to get revenge on their division rival and knock them out of playoff contention. The Giants come into this game looking to rebound from last week's historic collapse against the Denver Broncos and win their first game in Philadelphia since 2013.
As we've seen through the years, this rivalry has produced some of the most memorable games in NFL history, and anything can happen when these teams meet. Here are five bold predictions for this pivotal Week 8 matchup.

Jaxson Dart could be on his way toward winning Offensive Rookie of the Year, as the team became instantly better and more exciting to watch when he took over in Week 4. In his four starts, he's thrown for 791 yards with seven touchdowns to just three interceptions and has rushed for 178 yards with three rushing scores.
His highest yardage mark came last week when he threw for 283 yards in the team's 33-32 loss to Denver. This week, he'll surpass that mark against the Eagles' 19th-ranked pass defense and post his first 300-yard passing performance.

After rushing for a historic 2,005 yards in 2024, many expected Saquon Barkley's production to dip in 2025. Needless to say, these predictions have come true.
Through seven games, the superstar running back has carried the ball 113 times for 369 yards and three touchdowns. The 3.3 yards per carry he's averaging is the lowest of his career with the exception of 2020 when he appeared in just two games.
In the Week 6 matchup against his former team, he carried the ball 12 times for 58 yards. In that game, guard Landon Dickerson was inactive due to injury. He returned against the Minnesota Vikings but has been limited in practice this week due to ankle and back issues. Also, center Cam Jurgens has missed practice with a knee injury.
Whether or not they play, Barkley will have his first electrifying performance of the year and rush for well over 100 yards.

One of the heroes for the Giants in the previous meeting was cornerback Cor'Dale Flott. He had three tackles and a key interception in the fourth quarter that he ran back 68 yards, which set up running back Cam Skattebo's 1-yard touchdown run that put the game out of reach.
Big Blue will need their 24-year-old corner to once again step up and make an impact, as the team will likely be without corner Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland due to knee injuries. Flott will deliver once again as he intercepts Jalen Hurts , but this time he'll return it for a pick-six.

Another key member who didn't suit up for the Eagles in the previous matchup was Jalen Carter , who was a late scratch due to a heel injury. Carter returned last week against the Vikings and recorded three tackles.
Surprisingly, the 24-year-old defensive tackle has yet to record a sack this season. The weakness in the Giants' offensive line is the interior, and Carter will exploit this and have the first three-sack performance of his career.

Despite winning the last time these two teams played, few are giving the Giants a chance to pull off the upset. It's with good reason; the Eagles are the more talented team and have won the last 11 meetings in Philadelphia. But all streaks must come to an end.
Barring an injury between now and kickoff, Graham Gano is set to make his return and will be the team's kicker Sunday. Last week, the kicking game was the team's undoing as Jude McAtamney missed two extra points, and the Giants watched Denver's Will Lutz kick the game-winning 39-yard field goal as time expired.
