The New York Giants just signed a player who has quite the versatility.

On Tuesday, they added Zach Davidson to their practice squad, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan .
Davidson is a 6-foot-7 tight end with lots of skills.
He had previously been with the Buffalo Bills , but he was released on cutdown day in August.
He had an eventful preseason finale before the Bills let him go.
Davidson was the player who was tangled up with Shilo Sanders to prompt a punch from Deion's son that earned an ejection for the Buccaneers ' undrafted rookie (who was later cut himself).
The tight end also stood in as the Bills' punter that day, kicking blasts of 62 and 42 yards.

Davidson was originally a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings out of Central Missouri State.
His only two NFL regular season appearances came in 2024 for the Bills. He caught 1-of-2 targets for a 5-yard gain while also getting time on special teams.
Davidson's size remains intriguing and could keep him around the NFL for a while. It wasn't really anything he did wrong that got him cut from the Bills. They simply had too many viable roster candidates at tight end.
The Giants are at a point where they'd like to discover a few hidden gems to be on their roster in 2026. Maybe a guy with Davidson's size and skillset can be one of those dudes.
