CLEVELAND — The Guardians completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox at Progressive Field on Thursday, April 10.
After winning a couple of one-run games — Nolan Jones walked it off in the home opener April 8 with a walk in the bottom of the ninth for a 1-0 win before a wild ending April 9 ended in a 3-2 win — the Guardians got their offense going. Two home runs complemented a strong start by Gavin Williams in a 6-1 win.

White Sox vs Guardians last game: Looking back at Wednesday night
The Guardians won Wednesday night 3-2 after Steven Kwan threw out Mike Tauchman at home plate for the final out on a play that wasn't that simple. With the Guardians leading 3-1, the White Sox loaded the bases with one out in the ninth off Cleveland closer Emmanuel Clase . After Clase struck out Austin Slater for the second out, Miguel Vargas singled to left field, giving the White Sox a chance to tie the game. One run easily scored and Tauchman was headed home as the tying run for what appeared to be a bang-bang ending at the plate. But he injured himself rounding third base and limped down the line until he was tagged out by catcher Austin Hedges .
