- Jacksonville Jaguars open TE Brenton Strange's 21-day practice window
The Jacksonville Jaguars have opened tight end Brenton Strange's 21-day practice window, the team announced. He'll now begin working his way back to the field and is eligible to leave the injured reserve list.
Strange went on the injured reserve list after suffering a hip/quad injury against the Kansas City Chiefs . He missed the mandated four games and could return as early as this weekend against the Los Angeles Chargers .
"We will open up that window this week to get him practicing a little bit here this week and see what that looks like Wednesday, Thursday specifically to see how he's feeling, see how he's looking," head coach Liam Coen said earlier in the week. "I know he is very eager to get out there and compete and play and make an impact on our offense like he was doing before he got banged up."

Missing Strange has been a big blow to Jacksonville's offense. He is a key run blocker and was shaping up to be the most consistent pass catcher, becoming a safety valve for quarterback Trevor Lawrence .
He had 20 catches on 24 targets for 204 yards through the first five games this season, again, becoming a key contributor to the offense. The former second-round pick is in his first season as a full-time starter.
Now, he's on the road to returning to the field and helping a Jaguars ' offense that is struggling.
