The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a 15-win season that saw the franchise fall short of a three-peat, losing in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles . How many games will the Chiefs win in 2025? Our Chiefs schedule predictions aim to project how Kansas City will fare this season.

Let's dive into our game-by-game predictions for the Chiefs schedule this season.

Week 1 vs Los Angeles Chargers : Win (1-0)

The Chiefs schedule kicks off in Brazil on September 5, with a season-opening neutral-site matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Kansas City swept Los Angeles in their two meetings last season, with neither team eclipsing 20 points in either game. We don't expect such a low-scoring affair in Week 1, as both defenses may struggle out of the gate. While the new-look Chiefs offensive line could face some early challenges, Kansas City's explosive passing game should compensate in what promises to be an entertaining victory.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 27, Los Angeles Chargers 21

Week 2 vs Philadelphia Eagles: Loss (1-1)

The good news for the Chiefs is that their Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles will be much closer than the last time these two clubs faced off. Steve Spagnuolo won't be as focused on containing Saquon Barkley in this one, but emphasizing the passing game more will make running the football easier for Barkley. On the other side of the ball, Kansas City's offensive line really struggles to prevent consistent penetration and pressure from Philadelphia. Patrick Mahomes and company keep it closer, but the Chiefs lose on national TV.

Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles 31, Kansas City Chiefs 24

Week 3 @ New York Giants : Win (2-1)

After a tough showing against the Eagles, Kansas City rebounds with a get-right game against the New York Giants. This is expected to be a relatively low-scoring matchup, with the Giants' defensive line causing some problems for the Chiefs up front. However, Isiah Pacheco comes through with a big performance, and Kansas City's defense neutralizes nearly everything the Giants' offense attempts.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 20, New York Giants 13

Week 4 vs Baltimore Ravens : Loss (2-2)

The Chiefs schedule in 2025 looks much more challenging than it was last season, as evidenced by a pair of matchups against two of the best NFL teams in September. In this matchup against Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry , Kansas City's defense has no answers. Failing to produce a takeaway and allowing an alarming number of third-down conversions, the Chiefs miss key opportunities to put Baltimore away. To make matters worse, the left side of Kansas City's offensive line prevents Mahomes from mounting a fourth-quarter comeback.

Prediction: Baltimore Ravens 30, Kansas City Chiefs 24

Week 5 @ Jacksonville Jaguars : Win (3-2)

Kansas City avoids consecutive losses once again, exorcising its demons against the Jacksonville Jaguars' defense in this Week 5 matchup. Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown come through with big plays, helping Mahomes deliver a three-touchdown performance. While the Jaguars' offense keeps things interesting, a key interception in the fourth quarter—followed by a game-sealing scoring drive—helps the Chiefs put this one away.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 31, Jacksonville Jaguars 24

Week 6 vs Detroit Lions : Loss (3-3)

After going 8-0 at home in the regular season last year, three losses this early would certainly set off alarm bells in Kansas City. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, they face the Detroit Lions at the wrong time. Six games into the season, the Lions have settled in with their new play-callers, and the offensive line has developed some cohesion. This allows Jared Goff and company to come into Arrowhead Stadium and steal a victory in the closing minutes. A 3-3 record, with all three defeats at home, will raise some concerns for Chiefs Kingdom. Just keep in mind, the team lost four regular-season games at home in 2023 and later won the Super Bowl.

Prediction: Detroit Lions 24, Kansas City Chiefs 21

Week 7 vs Las Vegas Raiders : Win (4-3)

Once again, Kansas City gets to respond to a heartbreaking defeat by taking it out on its opponent the following week. The Las Vegas Raiders' offense will certainly be far more formidable than what Kansas City has faced in recent years, but that still won't be enough to make up for what happens on the other side of the ball. Mahomes and company exploit arguably the worst secondary in the NFL, allowing Kansas City to cruise to a win.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 34, Las Vegas Raiders 21

Week 8 vs Washington Commanders : Win (5-3)

It will be one of the most well-rounded performances of the season by the Chiefs—a sign of what this team is capable of when healthy and firing on all cylinders. Kansas City keeps the Washington Commanders' offense in check, with Spagnuolo throwing enough chaos at Jayden Daniels to disrupt the rhythm of Kliff Kingsbury's scheme. Meanwhile, the Chiefs' offensive line delivers a pass-blocking clinic, allowing Mahomes to throw for four touchdowns on Monday Night Football .

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 31, Washington Commanders 21

Week 9 @ Buffalo Bills : Loss (5-4)

Kansas City owns the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs, but the regular season is another story. The trend will continue in 2025 as the Chiefs' defense struggles on the road against Josh Allen . Inconsistent pressure and lapses in coverage, especially on downfield throws, allow the Bills' offense to put a hurting on Kansas City. It hands the Chiefs their fourth loss of the season heading into the Week 10 bye.

Prediction: Buffalo Bills 31, Kansas City Chiefs 27

Week 11 @ Denver Broncos : Loss (5-5)

Make it consecutive losses on the Chiefs' schedule, a rarity for this franchise in the Mahomes era. The Denver Broncos might have the best defense in the league, adding to the difficulty of playing at altitude at Empower Field at Mile High. The physicality of these two road games takes a toll on the Chiefs, resulting in another defeat, their first of 2025 against an AFC West opponent.

Prediction: Denver Broncos 24, Kansas City Chiefs 20

Week 12 vs Indianapolis Colts : Win (6-5)

The Chiefs' schedule gets easier in the middle of November after a grueling first 11 weeks. This game is a golden opportunity for Kansas City's defense to get back on track, creating havoc for the Indianapolis Colts' passing game. The Chiefs control this one from start to finish, beginning their ascent back up the AFC standings.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 27, Indianapolis Colts 17

Week 13 @ Dallas Cowboys : Win (7-5)

Even on a short week, playing on Thanksgiving, the Chiefs go into AT&T Stadium and dispatch the Dallas Cowboys in front of a prime-time audience. Patrick Mahomes lights up the scoreboard in his return to Texas, and a late fourth-quarter interception allows Kansas City to sink the dagger into the Cowboys' proverbial heart for another victory.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 30, Dallas Cowboys 21

Week 14 vs Houston Texans : Win (8-5)

The Chiefs' winning streak and late-season turnaround continue, as they dispatch C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans back at home. Kansas City's defensive line, led by Chris Jones , delivers a standout performance that prevents Stroud from ever settling into a rhythm or sustaining scoring drives. It's not a high-scoring game, but Kansas City takes an early lead and never gives it up.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 23, Houston Texans 14

Week 15 vs Los Angeles Chargers: Win (9-5)

Already at five losses on the year, Kansas City will be battling for the AFC West crown in the closing weeks of the season. Fortunately for Chiefs Kingdom, the team's history of overcoming adversity and delivering in the clutch shines through once again. At Arrowhead Stadium, Mahomes leads three touchdown drives, and the Chiefs' third-down defense comes up big to help complete the season sweep over the Chargers.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 27, Los Angeles Chargers 21

Week 16 @ Tennessee Titans : Win (10-5)

A Week 16 victory over the Tennessee Titans secures the Chiefs' 11th consecutive season with double-digit wins and their eighth in the Mahomes era. This matchup is led by a defensive clinic, with Cam Ward picked off twice and sacked three times. That provides the Chiefs' offense with all the opportunities they need to put the game away early.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 34, Tennessee Titans 20

Week 17 vs Denver Broncos: Win (11-5)

Finally, Kansas City gets its shot at revenge for one of its early-season losses. Facing the Broncos' defense for the second time, adjustments made by Mahomes and Andy Reid play a key role in the team's 11th victory of the season. Even more importantly, the Chiefs' offensive line is now a cohesive unit, playing its best football of the year with the playoffs right around the corner.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 24, Denver Broncos 20

Week 18 @ Las Vegas Raiders: Win (12-5)

The Chiefs will have something to play for in Week 18, providing a little added momentum to help complete the season sweep of the Raiders. While it won't be a blowout big enough for Kansas City to pull its starters, the team still secures a 12-win season thanks to a seven-game winning streak heading into the playoffs.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 30, Las Vegas Raiders 20
