Kim Mulkey and LSU women's basketball have their eyes set on another top high school prospect and will soon pitch the program to the player in person on campus.
Oliviyah Edwards (6-3), the No. 2 overall player in the 2026 class, released her final six schools Wednesday and LSU made the cut along with South Carolina, USC, Tennessee, Washington and Florida.
The Tacoma, Washington native and five-star forward told Yahoo Sports that she is leaning toward one school, but wants to see and visit other schools to ensure she's making the best decision for herself.
LSU WBB 2025-2026 FULL SCHEDULE RELEASED
Edwards has an official visit scheduled at LSU Oct. 9-12. She has already taken an official visit to USC and has back-to-back officials scheduled at Tennessee Sept. 12-14 and South Carolina Sept. 19-21.
Per her X page, Edwards plans to announce her commitment "before November."
Edwards is known for her viral videos of her dunking in games. Her athleticism jumps off the screen in her highlights, but coaches including Mulkey are drawn to the potential in her defensive prowess and ability to guard multiple positions on the floor as well as an offensive game that expanding beyond the paint.
For the 2026 class, Mulkey and her staff are also recruiting power forward Olivia Vukosa, point guard Autumn Fleary, wing player Lola Lampley, guard Trinity Jones — all top 20 national recruits according to ESPN's rankings — and a few others.
But as of today, LSU does not have any players committed for next year's recruiting class.
