On Tuesday, Doncic posted a picture from his first media day as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers . It showed him smiling while wearing the team's famous yellow jersey and throwing a behind-the-back pass.
"Year 8 😎🌊," wrote the 26-year-old playmaker on Instagram.
He will look to lead the Purple and Gold in his first full season with the squad, and it seems he's becoming more and more comfortable in Los Angeles .
Fans of the Mavericks went through the five stages of grief after seeing Doncic's post.
"Won't ever feel real that you're a Laker. Dallas loves you 💙," said @dp_in_the_heart_of_texas.

But when the game started, the five-time All-Star was all business, scoring 45 points, including 7-of-10 shooting from long distance, while adding eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals. The Lakers beat the Mavericks, 112-97.
The Lakers also defeated the Mavericks in Los Angeles in March, with Doncic tallying a triple-double of 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists on top of three steals and two blocks.
The two teams' first meeting in the upcoming season will be in the NBA Cup on November 28.
