Denver Broncos fans aren't going to like this.
After visiting the Broncos on Monday and leaving without a deal , veteran tight end Evan Engram is visiting the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero .
Pelissero framed the development as "a potential AFC West battle emerging for the top free-agent tight end."
Engram, 30, is arguably the most notable free agent tight end still available after Juwan Johnson re-signed with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday. Engram also seems to be a perfect candidate to fill the " Joker " role in Sean Payton's offense, so fans in Denver has been clamoring for the team to sign the tight end.
Engram will evidently make at least two visits before making a decision. It remains to be seen if any other NFL teams are lined up in his free agency tour.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Engram has 496 receptions for 4,922 yards and 25 touchdowns in his career. He'll look to build on those totals in 2025, perhaps with one of Bo Nix or Justin Herbert as his quarterback.
