The No. 1 overall basketball recruit in the Class of 2026, Tyran Stokes, is set to make an official visit to Oregon this weekend, as he will for sure receive the grand treatment.
Standing at 6-foot-7, the Sherman Oaks, Calif. resident attends Notre Dame High School, but is originally from Louisville, Ken. Oregon isn't his first official visit, however. Stokes has also seen USC, Kansas, and, to no one's surprise, Louisville and Kentucky .
In an interview with Rivals, Stokes said he's looking for something that is quite different from what other high-profile recruits are looking for.
"I want to play for someone who really appreciates me outside of the court," Stokes said previously. "Someone who is going to talk with me just about how things are going and not just talk basketball all the time. I'm looking for a home, a place that I'm going to feel comfortable."
Whether that is Oregon or not remains to be seen, but the Ducks have been on a roll with these official visits from big-time players recently. Dana Altman and his program also hosted five-star recruit Tajh Ariza and four-star prospects Tay Kinney and Kohl Rosario.
