Less than a week after including the Oregon Ducks in his top two schools, four-star forward Tajh Ariza has now been predicted to commit to the Ducks' program. On3 Sports' Joe Tipton logged the expert prediction.
Per Ariza on Sept. 27, his recruitment is narrowed to Oregon and USC .
The 4-star forward is a top-15 recruit in the 2026 class, holding offers from the likes of Kansas, North Carolina, UCLA and a number of other Power 4 programs.
Ariza's father, Trevor, played in the NBA for 18 seasons. He was drafted in the second round out of UCLA by the New York Knicks in 2004 and competed for 10 different teams, ending his career with the Los Angeles Lakers . He finished with career averages of 10.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
Standing 6-foot-9, the 17-year-old Ariza is known as an ultra-athletic wing with the ability to run the floor and crash the boards. He's also comfortable with the ball in his hands, with his range stretching out to beyond the 3-point arc.
Per Rivals, he's the No. 14 player in the 2026 class and the No. 6 small forward. Ariza is expected to announce his commitment to Oregon or USC on Friday afternoon.
The Ducks ' only 2026 commit is 6-foot-7 center Kendre Harrison , who will also be a tight end on the football team. The addition of Ariza would add talent to head coach Dana Altman 's squads' forward depth that currently consists of Kwame Evans Jr. , Devon Pryer , Sean Stewart and several others.
