The Oregon Ducks men's basketball program has secured their second commitment in the 2026 class, as 4-star small forward Tajh Ariza announced his decision to join the Ducks on Friday afternoon.
Ariza had a plethora of offers, with the likes of Kansas, North Carolina and UCLA among them.
He's the son of former NBA veteran Trevor Ariza , who played in the NBA for 18 seasons. Coming out of UCLA in 2004, Ariza was selected by the New York Knicks in the second round. From there, he spent time with 10 different teams, eventually ending his career with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022. He finished with career averages of 10.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game and was a key role player during the prime of his career.
His son, Tajh, is the No. 14-rated recruit in the 2026 class and the No. 6 small forward, per Rivals. He'd initially narrowed his list to Oregon and USC less than a week ago, before an expert prediction was logged by On3 Sports' Joe Tipton on Thursday that correctly foretold of his commitment to the Ducks.
Head coach Dana Altman 's only other commitment for the 2026 class is 6-foot-7 center Kendre Harrison , who will also be a tight end on the football team.
Measuring in at 6-foot-9, Ariza is ultra athletic, with the ability to run the floor and slash to the hoop. He's an able ball-handler, with his range stretching out to the 3-point line.
The addition of Ariza adds to the Ducks' forward depth that currently consists of Kwame Evans Jr. , Devon Pryer , Sean Stewart and several others.
