Despite being without multiple key contributors, the Green Bay Packers (4-1-1) boast a top-10 scoring offense and are currently in first place in the NFC North. One of those missing players is making his return. The team is activating fourth-year wide receiver Christian Watson from the injured reserve, per its official X account, and could play him versus the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) this Sunday night.

The talented yet frequently unhealthy pass-catcher suffered a torn ACL in January and was subsequently unavailable for the Packers' NFC Wild Card showdown with the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles . He is hoping to make up for lost time and do his part to strengthen Green Bay 's title aspirations.
The Packers cleared room on their roster Saturday morning, leading many to believe that Watson was on his way back. His presence adds a new dynamic to a Jordan Love-led offense that has been working with an undermanned pass-catching group during the first half of the campaign. Alongside team receptions leader Romeo Doubs , team receiving yards leader Tucker Kraft and promising rookie Matthew Golden , the returning Watson aims to remind everyone of his big-play prowess.
The 6-foot-4 wideout has recorded 98 catches for 1,653 yards (16.9 yards per reception) and 14 touchdowns in 38 games with Green Bay. He is highly impactful when active. Unfortunately, fans have not seen as much of him as they would prefer. Following a fluky ACL injury, perhaps Christian Watson will be able to stay on the field and help the Packers vie for greatness.
Love is already performing like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL through six games, posting a 69.3 completion percentage and throwing for 1,438 yards and 10 touchdowns (only two interceptions). What will he do with another explosive playmaker in the fold? The Cheeseheads cannot wait to find out.
