Who makes the 53-man roster for the Raiders is a big deal. But really, teams are made up of 69 players. That's because on top of the 53 players on the active roster, there is the 16-man practice squad.
Often times the squad is made up of players the team just cut who clear waivers. But not entirely. There are also usually a few players from other teams as well.
We'll be tracking those who the Raiders bring back and bring into the fold for their practice squad right here.
Raiders announce 17-player practice squad
The Raiders made their practice squad official and it's made up entirely of players from their own cuts. It's set at 17 players instead of 16 because of the carve out for IPP player Laki Tasi.
Alex Bachman returning to Raiders practice squad
The camp standout didn't make his first 53-man roster, but he will be part of the Raiders practice squad according to a source.
No Raiders cuts were claimed off waivers by other teams
The Raiders will have their pick of any of their own cut players to bring back to their practice squad as none were claimed by other teams.
