Seth Trimble is one of the lone returners to North Carolina from a roster a year ago that saw the Tar Heels lose in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. There's been a big roster makeover but Trimble wanted to return and help get UNC back on track.
Before the season starts, Trimble wanted to make sure he leaves his mark on Chapel Hill in more than one way as he became the owner of Ben & Jerry's on Franklin Street. He became the owner back in September and has plans for the shop. And one of those plans is to pay homage to a legendary UNC coach.
While meeting the media on Wednesday, Trimble revealed that he wants work up a signature ice cream flavor for Roy Williams.
"I'm trying to get Coach Roy a flavor here on Franklin Street. That's one thing I really want to do. I think he's earned it," Trimble said at the press conference . "He's earned it. He's great to my family, he's great to the university. But I've got to talk to corporate, so we'll see what they say."
With the store being on Franklin Street, it would be awesome to see Roy have his own flavor. Fans and students would flock to try it and it would be a big win for the shop. But for now, it's just an idea.
