Collins Onyejiaka has put pen to paper on his commitment to Alabama basketball .
UA athletics announced on Tuesday morning that the 12th ranked center in the country officially signed his Letter of Intent and will join the Crimson Tide this fall after he reclassified from the 2026 class to the class of 2025.
From true freshmen to transfers, Alabama 's incoming class of recruits is ranked No. 4 in the country, per 247Sports, marking the first time in program history that Alabama has had six consecutive top 15 recruiting classes.
Originally from Edo, Nigeria, Onyejiaka saw a quick rise in the United States leading The Newman School (Mass.) to its first NEPSAC championship as a junior. He averaged 9.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in his last run on the prep circuit.
At Alabama, he joins 7-foot centers Noah Williamson (Bucknell) and Aiden Sherrell.
Here's what Alabama head coach Nate Oats said about the long, physical 270 pound big man.
"Collins is a physical and imposing big who possesses great length at 6'11" with a 7'2" wingspan," Oats said.
"Collins not only plays above the rim, but he also will be able to provide vertical pressure on the rim and will be able to offer some additional rim protection. Not only is he one of the best players out of Massachusetts but he is also a proven winner, having just led The Newman School to a NEPSAC championship."
