For the second week in a row, Trey Sermon will be suiting up for the Pittsburgh Steelers . Mike Tomlin's team elevated the fifth-year running back from its practice squad on Saturday ahead of a matchup with the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin.
Starting running back Jaylen Warren is dealing with a knee injury , but is expected to play against Minnesota.
Sermon played in the Steelers' 21-14 win over the New England Patriots last Sunday, lining up to return kicks alongside Kenneth Gainwell . That move came after reserve interior offensive lineman Max Scharping was placed on injured reserve and rookie tailback Kaleb Johnson made a costly kick-returning mistake in the Steelers' Week 2 loss to the Seattle Seahawks .

Like last week, Sermon will revert to the practice squad after facing the Vikings. He was signed after a tryout during rookie minicamp, adding some depth to the Steelers' running back room.
