π Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens went off against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, recording eight receptions for 134 yards (16.7 average) and two touchdowns. Despite Pickens' big night, the Cowboys and Packers tied 40-40. It was the second-highest scoring tie in NFL history.
π NFL Network Brian Baldinger broke down Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Payton Wilson 's touchdown-saving tackle on Jordan Addison . The Minnesota Vikings eventually scored on the drive, but the four extra plays drained some clock in a Steelers' nail-biting win.
π Steelers linebacker Payton Wilson reached a top speed of 22.48 mph on his chase-down tackle of Jordan Addison, the fastest speed by a linebacker in the Next Gen Stats era (since 2016). Wilson's tackle ran 61 seconds of clock that helped the Steelers seal a win in Dublin.
π Through four weeks, the Steelers are first in the AFC North at 3-1.
π Steelers legends Ben Roethlisberger and Jerome Bettis led the Terrible Towel Twirl before the Steelers' game in Ireland.
π Dan Orlovsky predicted that the Steelers would start the season off 0-6.
π Steelers All-Pro defensive tackle Cam Heyward said the win in Dublin was huge.
"For our team and our organization, I think it's big. I think me and Mike T are the only ones that really had a relationship with Mr. Rooney," Heywasrd said after the game. "For us it's a big thank you. He's responsible for bringing us both in. To follow The Chief and see what he built on top of that I was telling the players it was uncommon for an owner to shake every man's hand and look them in their eyes and ask about their family and ask about what's going on day in and day out. Training camp, practice, games. I could tell Art Rooney II was very excited about this game. He was carrying around his hurling stick, and he was explaining that sacred ground we got to play in and the importance of this game to the family. I think that resonates with a lot of our players. But Mr. Dan Rooney, I think we were all very thankful to have this game here. I just felt like, man, if we got a chance to play in Dublin, this is a game we always circled on our calendar. I'm glad we got the win overseas."
π Greg Olsen and Joe Davis couldn't believe the decision by Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin to take a delay-of-game and punt instead of just going for it on fourth-and-1.
"It's a no-brainer! You get a half a yard and the Minnesota Vikings never possess the ball ever again!" Olsen said.
π In the first two games, the Steelers defense had three sacks and three takeaways. In their last two games, the defense has elevated their play with 10 sacks and seven takeaways.
π According to Next Gen Stats , Aaron Rodgers recorded an average time to throw of 2.17 seconds in Week 4, his quickest average time to throw in a game since at least 2016. On quick throws (under 2.5 seconds), he completed 13 of 16 pass attempts for 174 yards and a touchdown.
