Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig has been waived with an injury designation, the team announced on Tuesday.
Lemonious-Craig joined the team after a successful tryout at rookie minicamp this spring and turned heads with his playmaking ability, and had continued that through the start of training camp.
He suffered what head coach Mike Tomlin described as a lower-body, soft-tissue injury on Sunday.
Lemonious-Craig will now go through waivers. Because he was released with an injury designation, if he clears waivers, he will revert to the Steelers' injured reserve list, where he will spend the entire 2025 season unless he and the club reach an injury settlement.
