The Michigan Wolverines beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers 30-27 on the road Saturday in a game that constituted a solid performance marred by unexpected errors.
The Wolverines' win moved coach Sherrone Moore's team to 3-1 on the season with a bye week awaiting before Wisconsin and Michigan State in back-to-back weeks.
The win included a $50,000 bet that was made on the Wolverines by former offensive lineman Taylor Lewan , who created a trophy for the game, which he calls the 'Bussin' Bowl' based off of his podcast 'Bussin' With the Boys.'
Following the game, Lewan made an announcement about where his money will go to next.

Lewan Plans NIL Donation
Lewan made a statement on social media after Michigan's win.
"As a part of @_willcompton and i's bet. Bussin with the boys will be donating 50,000 dollars to the @UMichFootball NIL Fund," Lewan said. "Go Blue."
Fans reacted with their wish lists on X.
"Can that go specifically to bring in a transfer WR?" one said after Michigan suffered many drops of Bryce Underwood's passes.
"That's a game-changing move for both the team and the fans! Investing in the future of talent is what makes college football thrive," another said .
"Can't wait to see what this fund accomplishes. Go Blue indeed!'
"Awesome," another said.
"Thank you for our WR pot donation," another added continuing a theme of Wolverines fans calling for wide receiver transfers.
"Doesn't this also confirm Michigan as the rightful '97 National Champions?" another said of Michigan's title winning season in 1997, during which they won the AP title and Nebraska won the Coaches Poll.
"Great," another said. "Unlimited NIL plus another $50K. Nothing stopping us now," they added with laughing and crying emojis.
Michigan Waits for Improved Receiver Play
Michigan's leading receiver was Donoven McCulley with three catches for 39 yards.
The Wolverines left plenty of plays on the table with several drops, some of a high degree of difficulty and some on balls that looked easily catchable.
Semaj Morgan was second on Michigan with two catches for 22 yards while Marlin Klein had two catches for 21 yards.
Michigan has shown in the recent past that it is active in the transfer portal and isn't shy about paying the funds necessary to bring in top talents.
Expect the Wolverines to be proactive going forward, both in terms of getting the most production out of the guys they have and potentially in finding new players during the 2026 offseason.
