The Steelers made a significant upgrade at wide receiver for 2025, trading for DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks before the start of free agency. That move can't be made official until Wednesday afternoon.
Pickens, Austin, and Roman Wilson are also set to return to the Steelers wide receivers room for 2025, with the team expected to make further additions in free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft.
Before his time in Pittsburgh, Jefferson spent three and a half seasons with the Los Angeles Rams , winning a Super Bowl after the 2021 season. He was traded to the Atlanta Falcons mid-season in 2023, where he first connected with current Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who was the head coach in Atlanta.
A native of Brentwood, Tennessee , the move to Nashville will be taking Jefferson close to home. He'll join Calvin Ridley and Treylon Burks in the Tennessee wide receivers rotation.
