The New York Giants placed Justin Herbert into discomfort with their relentless pass rush Sunday. But New York's 21-18 victory also saw this uncomfortable moment: Malik Nabers getting carted off.

Nabers left with what looks like a torn ACL . This leaves head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen scrambling for an emergency wide receiver amid the latest big NFL injury.

The list of available free agents are diluted. New York looks like it can swing for a swap ahead of the NFL Trade Deadline in November. There are intriguing names out there amid their own current situations — including one Super Bowl winner.

First name on Giants potential trade list?

Super Bowl winner Tyreek Hill enters the picture first.

Yes it's a zany idea for most fans considering Hill's massive salary. But it's well known Hill and Miami aren't in a good place with one another. The Dolphins are also struggling — with head coach Mike McDaniel suddenly sitting on the hot seat.

Miami can consider shipping the disgruntled wide receiver and hand the Giants a speed boost. Though the Dolphins may want a big star in return — a la Brian Burns following his restructured deal over the spring.

A Hill deal would require Burns and a high draft pick (Giants hold four total selections between days one and two of next year's draft ). But worth a swing if Schoen wants to become bold and give Jaxson Dart a confidence boosting weapon.

Giants can look at another 1,000-yarder

If not Hill, NYG can reignite trade talk involving another past discontent wide receiver with a 1,000-yard history.

Jakobi Meyers sent a trade request one month ago . Many across the league believed Meyers doesn't have the intriguing market to convince a deal with another team.

Meyers, though, likely wouldn't command much in return if the Giants intervene. He'd be worth a day three selection in exchange. Meyers is worth re-monitoring amid the Raiders' current struggles and the Nabers ailment.

Other names Giants can trade for

Hill is the potential bank breaking move — but can give fans assurance that the franchise is serious about improving and building around Dart. Meyers is the "cheaper" choice in this scenario.

But there's others who likely won't demand much in the market — and can come in as rentals who can work with this offense. Yet bring their own intrigue through their own past league success.

Tyler Lockett is already familiar with new QB2 Russell Wilson , having caught passes for Wilson from 2015 to 2024 in Seattle . Lockett has only caught six passes for 46 yards so far with the Tennessee Titans . The 33-year-old can be worth a late rounder here.

Christian Kirk is another past NFC West representative when Wilson was in the division. Kirk looks lost in a deep Houston Texans WR room with grabbing just three catches. A change of scenery looks needed for the eight-year veteran.

Finally, the franchise can attempt to make a New York-New York deal in going after Allen Lazard . He's in the final year of his own contract with the Jets . Lazard's Jets experience has been subpar, so switching NY teams looks appealing.
