There are three games left in the regular season and the North Carolina Tar Heels are still in a tough spot for the 2025 NCAA Tournament. They begin that three-game stretch on Saturday as they host Miami in the Dean Dome and it's another 'can't lose' game for the Tar Heels.
North Carolina essentially needs to win out or make a deep run in the ACC Tournament as they have just one Quad 1 game left at the moment. With a 1-10 record in Quad 1 games this season, it has put UNC on the outside looking in for the NCAA Tournament.
Now, going into Saturday's game against Miami, the Tar Heels are a 'first four out' team in Joe Lunardi's latest Bracketology released on Friday. Lunardi has UNC as one of his first four out behind Georgia but ahead of Boise State and Xavier.
They are chasing the 'last four in' teams which are Oklahoma , Indiana, Ohio State and Texas .
It's pretty simple for North Carolina. They need to win as many games as possible and hope that other teams ahead of them lose. The good news is that Indiana and Ohio State still play each other as do Oklahoma and Texas. But for now, worry about your games and get some wins.
That starts Saturday.
