The Cincinnati Bengals remain adamant that Joe Burrow is not shut down for the season despite his move to injured reserve ahead of surgery to address his turf toe injury.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said as much on Wednesday while meeting with reporters.
Not only did Taylor say the Bengals are still hopeful Burrow can come back this season, he also revealed that he doesn't have information about the timing of Burrow's surgery.

From an NFL rules perspective, the Bengals can bring Burrow back from injured reserve any point after he misses four games, opening a 21-day window to get put on the 53.
From a practicality perspective, three-month estimations on Burrow's injury were a best-case scenario before talking about other factors such as football conditioning, preparation and others.
Also, practically speaking, the Bengals don't have any incentive in mid-September to say Burrow won't return this season, for whatever it's worth.
