Through Week 7, the Chargers quite possibly have the worst collection of fantasy producers in modern NFL history. So if you're rostering Justin Herbert, Omarion Hampton, or even Ladd McConkey, the pain is real, and it might not ease up soon.
The raw NFL numbers are staggering: a 0-7 record, the league-worst 14.1 points per game, and the worst passing-TD-to-interception ratio (5-to-10). They've lost 10 straight late in 2025. What a difference from last year's playoff squad.

The fantasy numbers are equally jarring. Only twice has a player exceeded 13.7 points: Ladd McConkey (19.2 in Week 1) and Omarion Hampton (17.5 in Week 2).
How does this compare to other struggling teams? Only two winless squads have appeared in the past 20 years: the 2008 Lions and 2017 Browns . That Lions team scored the sixth-fewest points. Did that stop fantasy managers from investing in their top players? Hardly. Calvin Johnson was the WR3. Kevin Smith was the RB17. A Lion scored more than 13.7 points 28 times.
The 2017 Browns were in much rougher shape, scoring the fewest points and giving up the second most. Only Duke Johnson (RB11) was fantasy-relevant. They cracked 13.7 points a measly four times.
But... the difference between the 2017 Browns and this year's Chargers is that fantasy managers knew to avoid Cleveland's players. That team had finished 1-15 the previous season. More developmental pains were expected.

That's not the case for the Chargers, which entered this season tied for the sixth-best Super Bowl odds. Managers had plenty of talent to choose from. All of them are dramatically underperforming.
A more favorable second-half schedule could put this team back on track, delivering more consistently strong fantasy numbers from at least Herbert and McConkey. That alone is reason not to give up on them entirely. But time is running out.
