Liam Coen's Jacksonville Jaguars came out of their bye with the AFC's safest division lead and two holes nobody in the building can fully patch. Anton Harrison's torn ACL took a starting tackle off the field, and a pass defense allowing 273.8 yards per game, 30th in the NFL according to ESPN's team defense stats , still hasn't found its footing.
That makes Jacksonville a buyer before the Nov. 10 deadline, and the money is the hard part. The Jaguars have less than $4 million in cap space , so any bold move has to come cheap or come with something going back the other way. A midseason trade only charges the acquiring team for what's left of a player's base salary, which helps. These three moves would hit every one of the Jaguars' needs.
Patrick Paul would steady the tackle spot

Walker Little and Cole Van Lanen are the only healthy tackles on the active roster. Van Lanen has a 61.4 pass-blocking grade across 212 pass-blocking snaps, according to PFF, and Little has 11 games to prove his strong start over 68 pass-blocking snaps wasn't a fluke.
Patrick Paul is the bold ask. The Miami Dolphins are 1-5, and Bleacher Report's Alex Kay already has them on the short list of teams with assets to move. The 2024 second-round pick has a 74.5 pass-blocking grade this season, according to PFF , though he has allowed 15 pressures and three sacks in six games. His contract is the real selling point. Paul carries a $1.89 million cap hit and is signed through 2027, per Spotrac , which makes him one of the few starting tackles who fits both of Jacksonville's cap sheets. Prying a young starter away from Miami would likely take the Jaguars' 2027 third-round pick.
Moro Ojomo adds the missing interior rush

Jacksonville's 11 sacks are tied for 20th in the league, and the problem sits inside. Arik Armstead has nine pressures on 187 pass-rushing snaps and a 56.0 pass-rushing grade, according to PFF. Travon Walker (21 pressures) and Josh Hines-Allen (17) are getting home more often than their sack totals suggest, so the edges aren't where the help needs to go.
Moro Ojomo has been the name most tied to the Jaguars all month, and Jaguars On SI's John Shipley called him the biggest swing Jacksonville can take . Ojomo has 16 pressures on 190 pass-rushing snaps, according to PFF , seven more than Armstead on about the same workload, after a six-sack 2025. His 53.9 pass-rushing grade makes him more of a volume add than a game-changer. The 2-5 Philadelphia Eagles look like sellers, and Ojomo is on an expiring $3.67 million base salary, about half of which would land on Jacksonville's books. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox put his price at a 2027 third-round pick, and an earlier proposal had the Jaguars benefiting from a Philadelphia selloff. Jacksonville would want a clean look at the injury he suffered in Monday's loss to Dallas before making the call.
Rasul Douglas can take Jarrian Jones' snaps

Jarrian Jones has been targeted 51 times, the most on the defense, and has allowed 32 catches for 436 yards with a 34.4 coverage grade, according to PFF. Eric Murray pointed to communication after the Jaguars allowed 320 passing yards a game over a three-week stretch, but Jones has also been flagged in key spots, which showed up in our Week 6 stock report .
Rasul Douglas is a veteran answer on a team going nowhere. The Washington Commanders are 1-4-1, and Douglas signed a one-year deal with them in July . He has allowed 19 catches on 32 targets for 217 yards with a 66.7 coverage grade and a 77.2 passer rating against, per PFF. A late-round pick should get it done.
Making all three moves would likely push general manager James Gladstone into a restructure, and Brian Thomas Jr. remains the one chip that could cover a bigger swing. Even one of these trades would beat sending Little, Van Lanen and Jones back out for a stretch that includes seven road games.
