QB Cole Payton

Payton has shown the ability to create with his legs, but Philadelphia needs continued progress in the passing game. Recognizing pressure, getting through reads and protecting the football are priorities. A clean finish would help the Eagles feel more comfortable about his development behind the veteran quarterbacks.

TE Eli Stowers

Stowers' second-round status makes his roster position secure. His immediate role is less certain, particularly while he manages a hamstring injury. If cleared, he needs to demonstrate assignment reliability and progress as a blocker. If unavailable, the focus shifts to preparing him for a useful role during the season rather than forcing a preseason appearance.

OT Markel Bell

Bell has made a favorable impression, but thumb and leg issues interrupted his final week of camp. His priority is becoming available, not rescuing a roster spot. A healthy Bell gives Philadelphia a young tackle to develop behind its established starters. Any finale snaps should serve that development rather than become a test of how much discomfort he can tolerate.

G Micah Morris

Morris is competing for a place in Philadelphia's long-term offensive line plans. He needs to show that his technique remains stable against live movement and pressure. Even if the initial roster proves difficult to crack, a dependable performance could strengthen his practice-squad case.

S Cole Wisniewski

Wisniewski's concussion creates uncertainty about whether he can participate. If cleared, defensive communication and special teams would be central to his audition. If he remains unavailable, Philadelphia must evaluate his previous work and medical status. Missing the finale would not automatically resolve whether he belongs on the active roster, a reserve list or the practice squad.

DT Uar Bernard

Bernard's evaluation is developmental. The Eagles need to see that his understanding of positioning, leverage and assignments continues to improve with exposure to football. A few technically sound snaps can be more meaningful than an isolated play created by athletic ability. The question is where Philadelphia can best continue his development.

EDGE Keyshawn James-Newby

James-Newby has an opportunity to make the strongest immediate roster argument among the late-round defenders. The Eagles need edge depth, but he must demonstrate more than pass-rush potential than undrafted International Pathway performer Joshua Weru. Reliable run defense and useful special-teams work would make him easier to retain.

Bell, Stowers and Wisniewski were among the players sidelined in Wednesday's final open practice . Their availability remains separate from the broader question of how Philadelphia plans to develop them.
