The best players respond after mistakes. That's what Alabama cornerback Dijon Lee Jr. did against Texas A&M on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Mario Craver caught a first down early in the first quarter deep in Texas A&M territory, before Lee Jr. tackled Craverand threw him to the ground WWE style. Lee Jr. was then flagged for a personal foul after the tackle.

The next play, Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed attempted another pass to Lee Jr.'s side of the field, and Lee Jr. jumped the pass, intercepted it and returned it for a touchdown to give Alabama an early 7-0 lead.
The flag was a mental mistake for the talented Alabama cornerback, but thankfully for the Crimson Tide , it was one he responded to. After the flag, coach Kalen DeBoer was shown on the broadcast giving Lee Jr. some words of encouragement, which seem to have worked. If nothing else, they paid some quick dividends.
The 6-foot-4 cornerback has already proved to be one of Alabama's best playmakers the last two seasons, with four total interceptions and two pick-sixes, both of which have come this season. He finished his true freshman season in 2025 with 32 total tackles and two interceptions.

Lee Jr. has also taken eight kickoffs for 218 yards this season, with his return ability on full display during his interception return.
Alabama needs a win against Texas A&M this week after dropping back-to-back games against Georgia and Tennessee. Maybe the Crimson Tide can respond against the Aggies like Lee Jr. did after his bad penalty.
