The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.
The Arizona Cardinals have many roster decisions to make before then.
Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is offensive lineman Josh Fryar .
Josh Fryar 2025 season
Fryar went undrafted out of Ohio State last year but made the final roster as an undrafted rookie. He played tackle in college but was the primary backup guard to start the season, was inactive for a few weeks and then ended up starting at left tackle for the final four games of the season.
He appeared in 12 games and started five — four at left tackle and one as a tackle eligible. He played 289 offensive snaps and 49 on special teams.
Josh Fryar contract status
He is in Year 2 of his three-year rookie free agent deal. He is scheduled to make $1.005 million in 2026 and count $1.02 million against the salary cap. He is signed through 2027.
Josh Fryar offseason outlook
The Cardinals will certainly look in free agency and the draft for help at tackle, but there is a small chance that they liked what they saw from him late in the season for him to be part of the mix to start at right tackle in 2026. But most likely, he will battle to have a roster spot as offensive line depth.
Offensive line coach Justin Frye coached Fryar last year and in college at Ohio State.
