Arizona football will be facing off against BYU this week , and it looks like they'll be getting some of their key players back for the matchup. Ismail Mahdi and Max Harris are set to travel with the team after being cleared, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
"Sources: Arizona is formally adding two key starters from last year to the roster, 2025 leading rusher Ismail Mahdi and third-leading tackler Max Harris. Both have been cleared for competition and will travel with Arizona to face No. 15 BYU," Thamel wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
"Both have been practicing with the Wildcats and are expected to play on Saturday. Arizona also added transfer kicker/punter Sullivan Moon to the roster. He will not travel to the game. All three were part of local TRO that was ruled on this week in PIMA County. Madhi led Arizona with 859 rush yards and averaged 6.4 yards per carry."

Both Mahdi and Harris gained a fifth season of college eligibility through a court hearing. They returned to the team following the federal ruling that was overturned toward the end of August.
Mahdi, the leading rusher for Arizona last season, finished with 859 yards and four touchdowns. As for Harris, he finished with 78 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss, earning him an All-Big 12 honorable mention.
There will be some huge expectations on Arizona this season after they finished with a 9-4 record last season. Many are expecting Noah Fifita to have a big season and possibly take home the Heisman Trophy if he plays up to his standards. With Mahdi in the backfield, it should make Fifita's job even easier.
