- Baltimore Ravens: Center Position Hit With Crushing Blow
Injuries continue to pile up at the Baltimore Ravens' center position. Danny Pinter suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon during joint practices in August after emerging as the early frontrunner. Jovaughn Gwyn suffered an ankle injury during the third quarter of Week 3. Meanwhile, his replacement, Ethan Pocic , suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter.

During Monday's press conference, Jesse Minter told the media that Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic will be missing an extended period and acknowledged that both could be long-term injuries, as reported by Luke Jones of WNST. The Ravens are preparing rookie first-round pick Olaivavega Ioane to take over as the starting center, though the team could add one. Ioane filled in at center for the remainder of Week 3.
Could the Ravens bring back a familiar face?

Many Ravens fans have mentioned Kevin Zeitler's name as a potential free-agent signing to replace Olaivavega Ioane at right guard. Zeitler spent 2021 to 2023 in Baltimore, including earning his first Pro Bowl selection in his final season with the team. He spent 2024 with the Lions and 2025 with the Titans. The 36-year-old is reportedly open to playing this season but prefers a contender and is apparently seeking $10 million.

In this case, Ioane remains at center while Zeitler, not Andrew Vorhees, starts at right guard. Few serviceable centers are available in free agency or via trade. Graham Glasgow, Ryan Bates , and James Daniels (hasn't played center in a while and is coming off back-to-back season-ending injuries) headline the top free agents. Meanwhile, Olu Oluwatimi, Jake Andrews, and Austin Corbett / Lloyd Cushenberry III could be in play in a trade.
