It is known that Barcelona are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro , but any transfer will depend on the Spanish international securing more favourable departure conditions from the Premier League club.
According to SPORT , the Catalan side admire the 27-year-old, with Hansi Flick and the sporting department both approving his profile, but are unwilling to meet Tottenham's current €70 million valuation .
The outlet mentions that Barcelona have already made contact with the defender's representatives, who believe his time in English football could be approaching an end.
As mentioned by the player himself, Porro is keen on returning to Spain and views the possibility of joining Barcelona favourably.
However, financial considerations remain the biggest obstacle to completing a deal, particularly with the club prioritising other positions in the transfer market.

Porro has been on Barcelona's radar since last summer, when the club explored the possibility of strengthening their right-back position.
The first discussions were dependent on Barcelona generating funds through a major defensive departure.
Both Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde were considered potential candidates to leave, but neither ultimately moved on, forcing the club to put the Porro operation on hold.
Real Madrid had also been linked with the Tottenham defender, although that possibility has lost momentum because of the competition for places in their right-back department.

The biggest complication is Tottenham's financial demands, with the London club valuing Porro at approximately €70 million, a figure Barcelona consider excessive and beyond their current willingness to spend.
The Catalan hierarchy have therefore made their position clear to the player's representatives.
They want Porro to become directly involved in facilitating a transfer by helping establish a considerably more realistic asking price.
Tottenham's reputation for driving hard bargains further complicates negotiations, and without a significant reduction in their demands, Barcelona are unlikely to pursue the operation, particularly during the January window.
