Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal made Champions League history during his side's 3-0 victory over Aston Villa , becoming the highest-scoring teenager in the competition's history.
His early goal took his European tally to 14, moving him past Kylian Mbappe's previous record of 13 before turning 20.
The 19-year-old continues to strengthen his reputation as one of Europe's most influential young attackers, with his latest achievement adding another milestone to an increasingly remarkable Barcelona career .
Yamal opened the scoring inside the first 10 minutes against Aston Villa after capitalising on a costly mistake during the visitors' build-up.
The Barcelona winger reacted quickly to Joao Gomes losing possession, collected the ball and took on goalkeeper Zion Suzuki before calmly finishing to give the hosts an early advantage.
Notably, the goal carried considerable historical significance, as Yamal reached 14 Champions League goals as a teenager, surpassing Mbappe's previous record of 13.
As such, Erling Haaland occupies the next position among the competition's most prolific teenage scorers with 10 goals.
Patrick Kluivert follows with seven, while Raul Gonzalez, Karim Benzema and Jude Bellingham each managed six before turning 20.
Yamal's record-breaking strike was also another contribution to an increasingly productive campaign, as the winger has registered three goals and four assists in the current Champions League edition.

Across all competitions, the Aston Villa goal took his seasonal tally to 13 goals, accompanied by 11 assists.
Those numbers bring him progressively closer to the 24 goals he recorded during the previous campaign.
What makes Yamal's achievement particularly significant is the company he has surpassed.
Mbappe, Haaland, Benzema and Bellingham all established themselves as exceptional talents at a young age, yet the Barcelona winger has now moved ahead of them in Champions League teenage scoring history.
