The Cincinnati Bengals have plenty of star power to watch at training camp.
Even casual NFL fans know the big names like Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase. The team's rookie class isn't all that unknown, either, with Cashius Howell leading the way .
As always, some of the lesser-known-names could end up making some of the biggest noise, though, perhaps while outright pushing for a spot on the final 53-man roster.
Here's a quick look at some overlooked players to know before their possible big summers.
Under-the-radar Bengals to watch at training camp
Offense: Mitch Tinsley
Everyone knows the big names like Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins . Rookie Colbie Young is getting some hype. Charlie Jones is good on special teams. Kendric Pryor has been around for a little bit now.
But it's Mitch Tinsley who might shock everyone.
Tinsley arrived in February of 2025 and made the 53-man roster last year before catching a couple of touchdowns, one a memorable one-handed score in a win over Jacksonville . He signed a one-year contract extension this offseason.
Another year in the system and with Burrow should do Tinsley some wonders. He feels like a Marvin Jones clone at times on the field, for the older fans out there, and a continued rise should be able to hold off names like Pryor and former college free agent products like Jordan Moore .
Defense: PJ Jules
The Bengals hope the miserable days with the likes of Geno Stone are far over.
New arrival Bryan Cook will start next to Jordan Battle , with fellow new arrival Kyle Dugger playing all over the place. Daijahn Anythony is still around, but the coaching staff wasn't exactly happy last year with how guys behind Stone weren't ready to go.
But there still seems to be some hope for PJ Jules. He even got a positive spotlight on the team's website during offseason work.
Jules appears to still be on an upswing. He went undrafted and sat on the practice squad for a year before appearing in 14 games last season, mostly as a special-teamer.
On paper, Jules should keep steady on special teams while ascending with another year in the defensive system. That doesn't mean he's going to steal snaps from the three guys ahead of him in the base defense, but it wouldn't be a shocker to hear his name all over training camp, either.
