Despite a fantastic start to the 2026 season for the Kentucky Wildcats , they did not take the Vanderbilt Commodores lightly coming into the weekend. In the end, Vandy gave them a good battle early on, and led 10-0 at one point, but Kentucky finally got going, and ended up dominating the remainder of the game, winning it 34-17 .
The Wildcats offense was balance with 173 yards on the ground, and 203 through the air. Kenny Minchey was solid once again, and played a clean game with no turnovers. Meanwhile, Kentucky forced Vanderbilt into giving it up twice, continuing what has been a strength of the team.
