On a second down at the ASU 1-yard line, BYU's Bear Bachmeier fumbled the snap, with the officials ruling after the play that the forward progress was stopped, ending the play.

After a review, the officials gave BYU the ball at the ASU 1-yard line.
However, after another review, the call was overturned, with the officials giving Sione Moa a touchdown for recovering the fumble and getting into the end zone, putting BYU up 7-0.
Fox Sports rules analyst Mike Pereira disagreed with the call, saying that per rules, BYU couldn't advance the fumble for a TD and also that they ruled forward progress stopped, which wouldn't allow the Cougars to advance the ball.
